    5. How can I get my referring Dentists on ITRANS so that we can communicate securely?top

    • In order to assist in getting your referring dentists to start using ITRANS to transmit to you their digital content, ITRANS has come up with the following text that you can send to them via email.  This way they have easy access to the enrolments that they will need and less work for them.  Assuming that you have their email address and this can be sent out to each one with your office contact at the end.

Here is the body of the email

      Dear Dr.

In order to provide security and respect privacy legislation (PHIPA & PIPEDA) we have started using the ITRANS Claim Service to transmit and receive digital x-rays, digital images, letters and referral letters.  In addition to the security (as regular email is not encrypted) this will also save on paper and postage.

All you require in the office is the Internet.

To view a video on how to transmit digital media from one dentist to another please refer to our FAQ "How do I send a Clinical Document to another provider?".

For those already sending electronic claims and have a CDAnet Office number, please call the ITRANS Help Desk at 1-866-788-1212 to get an enrolment form or visit ITRANS Claim Service Enrolment for CDA Members .  The turn around time is usually no more than 2-3 business days.

Should you not be doing electronic claims at this time, you would also need to subscribe to CDAnet in order to get a CDAnet office number: CDAnet Subscription Agreement (for all provinces outside of QC).  The CDAnet office number is required on the ITRANS enrolment form.  Currently with ITRANS you can exchange attachments with dentists, denturists and Labs.

Please confirm to our office once you have enrolled in ITRANS so that we may add you to our list.

Thank you for your time and should you have any questions please refer them to the ITRANS Help Desk at 1-866-788-1212 M-F 9am to 5pm
